How It All Began
We Eat Well started as a data exploration project between two software engineers. Our goal was clear: improve the visibility of recipes that use overlapping ingredients. This approach helps people shop smarter. For instance, they can buy in bulk or plan meals that use the same fresh ingredients before they expire.
As we built our data model and explored the world of culinary logistics, new possibilities kept unfolding. We realized there was an opportunity to create something unique—something the market hadn’t seen before.
A Human-Centered Approach
We put people at the heart of every design decision. From what data you can see to how we share our development progress, everything reflects our values. We aim to show appreciation, build trust, and involve others in our creative journey.
In addition, our love for digital products and human-centered business practices drives every choice we make.
Built Around Community
Our community shapes the future of We Eat Well. Rather than deciding everything ourselves, we listen to the people who use our product. Their needs, feedback, and challenges guide our development.
Moreover, in today’s climate of rising living costs, we believe everyone deserves tools that help them save money, eat better, and reduce waste.
Sustainable and Free
We regularly revisit our business model to keep the platform sustainable—without shifting costs to users. This strategy allows us to preserve trust, maintain usability, and ensure We Eat Well remains free for everyone.
Our Mission
We want to make food planning a joyful and simple part of everyday life. By combining thoughtful technology with real human insight, we aim to help you eat well—without cutting corners or sacrificing quality.
