About us

We Eat Well started as a data exploration project between two software engineers. We aimed to explore how we can enhance the visibility of recipes that share common ingredients so that people can shop smarter by buying ingredients in bulk, or by buying ingredients that will have as much use as possible before they expire. As we explore the world of food and culinary logistics and form our data model, the potential continues to reveal itself with what we can do that hasn’t been done before.

Our approach to developing our product is to be as human as possible – from decisions about what data you can choose to see, through to how we share our thinking when developing our products, show our appreciation and celebrate the opportunity we have to build something unique. We have a lot of passion for digital products and human centred business, and every step of the way is guided by our ideals.

Community is on the forefront of our mind, and we want to let the community we build speak about what we can do to help, and be heard. In this midst of a cost of living crisis, we believe that everyone should have access to tools that can help them make financial decisions, observe their dietary intake and most importantly, eat well.

Our business model and the decisions we have to make are constantly under consideration as to how we can make this sustainable at no cost to the end user. We believe that there is a way to do it with our jeopardising usability and trust.

Most importantly, we are on a mission to see food be an easy part of life so you don’t have to take any shortcuts, and still get the best you can possibly have.

We Eat Well was founded in 2024 by Eloise Carr and Glyn Simpson.
